Silver Sircus have returned (and recovered!) from our two shows at the fantastic 2009 Adelaide Fringe Festival. We now have both of our EP’s available on iTunes, Amazon MP3 and eMusic - our sounds for the world to hear! Also, we’ve made a little Facebook page for ourselves with lots of extra performance & studio photos - you can join us and even become a fan, if you’re inclined that way. Next stop for Silver Sircus is a show for the upcoming 2009 Pride Festival in June…. please watch this space for details soon.
We are very excited to announce we are performing as part of Brisbane Cabaret Festival on Saturday 4 October 2008. Silver Sircus will perform the 50min ’Songs From The Red Room’ - a song cycle comprising music from the two EP’s Sovereignty & Dark Back Garden plus several new works and a surprise cover (think obscure 80s…). The venue is The Gem Saloon, Studio One at QPAC and the evening is a double bill shared with the fabulous Pearly Black. Tix for the event are onsale now, please go to the Performance page for further details.

We’re very happy to announce the release of our second CD entitled ‘Dark Back Garden’. This CD contains one longform spoken-word/soundscape piece which is in two parts, ‘Transgression’ & ‘Dark Back Garden’. The piece is built upon an original loop by soundscape artist Brett Collery and with additional arranging & production by James Lees with contributions from Tylea Goold (atmos guitars) and Danielle Bentley (cellos). We are performing a (slightly shorter) version of the piece at our upcoming performance at the QLD Poetry Festival on Sat 23 August - please go to the Peformances page for show details and ticket sales.

Silver Sircus have released their debut CD entitled ‘Sovereignty’. The CD was recorded in May 2008 at Applewood Studios and was produced by James Lees, James Kliemt & Lachlan Magoo. It contains 4 tracks and will be launched at The Press Club on the evening of Monday 21 July. Please see the performances page for further details.
